Different Types of Holistic Healing
There are doctors who perform different types of holistic care such as a naturopath, chiropractor, or acupuncturist. They can offer a person a more natural approach to healing, rather than the standard toxic and invasive procedures of an allopathic doctor. Treating the body as a whole, rather than covering up the problem with medicine is a better option for health and wellness.
Many people don’t realize that there are other ways to treat the body, rather than to visit your general practitioner. Allopathic doctors are not taught how to create a natural healing environment within the body. They are taught how to “fix” things by structurally changing the body, taking something out, or putting something in, or by chemically altering it to block or prevent something. Drugs are a bandage, and don’t necessarily remedy the problem. They hide it. This is necessary in some situations, but not all and it can be rather detrimental when it comes to total health. This is the allopathic method of “healing”. With homeopathic doctors, a person is treated as a whole. They don’t try to “fix” the issue, but rather they treat the whole body, as one, in order to resolve the ailment. “There is more than one way to skin a cat.” This is true, with many things, as well as with treating the body for ailments or disease.
Naturopathic medicine is a way to treat the body in a way to bring on natural healing. The belief is that the body has an innate ability to heal itself, when given the proper nutrition and external environment and therapies. Naturopathic doctors help their patients to get well, by teaching them proper diet, exercise, lifestyle changes, and cutting edge natural therapies to prevent and combat disease.
